Good feedback on it, good focus, good execution, lets see what a year of Nouns Fairs at EF and ETH Global events accomplishes.

Good Aspects: - Increased awareness and engagement with Nouns in the web3 developer community through IRL presence hackathons. - Onboarding international builders and fostering a global community. - Strengthening the Nouns brand by associating it with positive and memorable experiences. - Encouraging developers to build on top of Nouns through the Nouns Prize. - Promoting cultural exchange and diversity by blending local culture with Nouns in each event. - Previous success with three editions of the Nouns Fair, demonstrating the teams experience and commitment. Bad Aspects: - The team will rely on external help for hosting, photo sets, swag, and recording, which may result in varying quality across different events. - Events may be subject to change, and the team will need to adjust accordingly. The past success of the Nouns Fair demonstrates that Mono & Ale are experienced and committed to achieving their goals. Budget seems reasonable considering the scale of the project. The impact of previous Nouns Fairs cant be ignored, having a nouns-powered set on the global events that involve one of the main target demographics seems very worthwhile. best of luck, keep up the good work.

We are in favor of Nounish in-person activations. It could be nice to work with other groups like OTG to have a more cohesive plan of attack for these events and reduce costs, but this is worthwhile nonetheless.

love this. I like the focus around a specific vertical of events and that they’ve already shownm success in this category. ask seems reasonable as well. best of luck!

Huge fan of this proposal for a lot of reasons. Love the idea of Nounish in-person activations. Prior history of success. Eyes = builders = flywheel. And the vibes are immaculate. Couldnt be more excited to support this team. Lets ride! - House of Nouns team

Imagine a world where voting does not exist. In this world, we would have no need for rules or principles. But in our world, voting is a reality. So we have a simple rule: we only vote against. We use a “Squad Vote” for each proposal. If more people vote against than vote for or abstain, we vote against on-chain. Otherwise, we abstain. This is our rule. According to the “squad vote” result for proposal 257, which is 13 for, 19 against and 14 abstain, we choose to vote abstain. The viewpoints of our different members are as follows (source not listed): Opinions opposing this proposal: 1. The past three Nouns Fairs seemed to prioritize creating a lively atmosphere more than genuinely onboarding builders, and they did not showcase Nounish ideas and products born at hackathons (perhaps its not apparent yet, as some builders might not have built products on the spot but developed ideas later). 2. Financial details are excessively indulgent: (1) the average cost of each fair is $38,438, while the bounty for rewarding builders is only $5,000, accounting for 13%, with the rest considered as marketing costs; there is too much budget allocation for marketing surrounding the Hackthon; (2) after three iterations, some aspects could be standardized and streamlined to avoid reinventing the wheel, such as reusing materials, resulting in instances of financial waste; (3) the costs for each event vary, but in planning, each is set the same; if the funds are not fully used, will they be returned to the treasury? 3. Data does not meet expected plans. The organizers initial goal was 1,000 Twitter followers, but after the first event, the actual number was 580. After hosting three events, Nouns Amigos currently has 1,200 followers, with the growth rate gradually decreasing and an average of 300 new followers per event. 4. In Proposal 180, the team pledged to save funds, with excess funds to be returned to NounsDAO. However, this statement is removed in the current proposal, and after 36 hours of inquiring on Discord, there has still been no response. The team has made some changes in the crucial details of the proposals financial aspect. It makes me feel that the team deliberately doesnt want to clarify the issue of financial waste, and I am concerned about whether the team might obtain undue benefits from the implementation. Supporting views on the proposal: 1. The issue is n

The Nouns Fair is an in-person event designed to spread awareness about Nouns among web3 developers and builders at ETHGlobal hackathons. The fair creates a fun atmosphere for partici pants to learn about Nouns through various activities, including photo sets, Q&A sessions, and prizes for Noun-related projects.

There are too many redundant parts in the financial part. Will you, as before, try to reduce costs as much as possible and return the difference in these prices to the DAO?
Yes, the team always tries to reduce costs without deteriorating the quality and experience they want to offer. They have created different designs for the swag to make everything stand out and be engaging/desirable. Regarding local transportation, they have optimized the budget to avoid confusion and ensure costs are minimized. They are committed to doing their best to optimize the budget, including travel and accommodation expenses.

To what extent do the Noun Fairs schedule overlap with <@930317640487030854> 's efforts? Is any of this redundant? --How was the Devcon fair funded? SF Fair was this Proposal, a success for sure, but kept more specific and targeted.--https://nouns.wtf/vote/162--For context, a few entities I have relationships with are also funding prizes at ETH Lisbon, are spending the same as we are all-in but the call to action is specifically to get people integrating with or building on them or recruiting directly and it's with a laser focus on that business development. We don't have the same call to action so mimicking their cost structure, I am not sure that works or makes sense. Would we better off funding our own single hackathon or hackathons than this approach? Or at least we could do this model but focus on Devcon and maybe 1 other event rather than blanketing the schedule. We don't have to be ubiquitous, we have to be special, compelling and persistent across time.--Open to being convinced otherwise and I value the testimonials from <@303004182129147905> and Brennen and Chris and have been a fan of Nouns Amigos.
The Nouns Fair is focused on builders and attends hackathons to engage with developers, designers, PMs, and other builders. The goal is to create a memorable experience and a fun-positive connection with the Nouns brand. The Nouns Prize is introduced to motivate people to build with Nouns while maintaining the Nouns vibe. The team believes that attending ETHGlobal hackathons is a sweet spot to get audience and visibility. They always try to reduce costs without deteriorating the quality and experience they want to offer.
